Bio

Naafiri is an Amsterdam-based collective blending psych-funk, dub and Eastern surf into hypnotic, largely instrumental journeys — a mysterious world-music groove built from many roots. Younes El Amrani's oud and electric saz carry North African modal colour, Yasmin Fahmy's voice and darbuka bring Cairo to the rhythm, and Sven de Vries and Joost Bakker anchor it all in Dutch psych-funk. Together they conjure a 70s bazaar meeting a modern psychedelic dream.
