Saffron is a collective weaving the vibrant threads of global groove into a sound both timeless and transporting. Drawing on psychedelic-folk currents, the six-piece drapes its compositions in warm Middle-Eastern and Anatolian colours — subtle oud and saz accents, Darya Niknam's vocals, and percussive undertones intermingling with hypnotic grooves. Call it a sonic journey somewhere between Tehran at 2 AM and a Western dancefloor.
